The Wedding
As mentioned previously we got married on the 27th May 2006 at the Lion and Swan Hotel in Congleton, Cheshire. The day was a complete success from start to end and and was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended judging by the feedback we have received.
We chose the Lion and Swan for the ceremony, reception and the evening party simply because when we went to a wedding fayre they were holding we went all round, had a look at everything and fell in love with the place. The restaurant and bar area are so well presented, contemporary modern furniture in a half timbered olde worlde building. The bridal suite is known as the Tudor Suite. It is all carved oak furniture and fantastic.
That's all before we even get on to talk about the menus which are so well thought out. We had meals in the restaurant a few times leading up to the wedding and we could not fault the food at all. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. Daryl, Emily and the team are to be praised highly for making our day so special. We are so fortunate to have such good friends and family who made the whole day so special. We would particularly like to thank those friends and relatives that made the trip all the way from the USA and the very tip of Caithness just be there on the day. We cannot thank you enough. Check out the Photo Album link at the top for more pictures of our special day. Oh, and to the guy in the Citroen Saxo who shouted "Don't do it!" as we were posing on the steps for the photo above, you were too late, we already had.
Our day was also aided by the following, who all did a fantastic job : Jeanettes dress by
