Archie's Dinosaur Page

Archie is mad about all things dinosaur. He's been to dinosaur parks, dinosaur museums, he just cant get enough.

As for Archie's favourite dinosaur, it has to be Tyrannosaurus Rex. He was so happy when he came across this one on the right. We found him at Paultons Family Theme Park near Southampton. Archie was so excited but the only problem was that he wouldn't go on the big slide because the dinosaur would eat him up while he was climbing the steps.

We found loads more dinosaurs roaming around in the woods at the edge of the park. They were all kept at bay by Archie running up and down the board walk shouting at them.

This is the culprit that started it all off, Peppa Pigs little brother George. George's favourite toy is his dinosaur and his favourite word is 'dinosaur' too. It didn't take long before Archie was trying to say 'dinosaur' and when he had mastered that and after he had heard his favourite book read, he was soon saying 'Tyrannosaurus Rex'.

"Raaaaawwwwrrrrrrrrr"

One of Archie's favourite books is "Dinosaurs Love Underpants" by Claire Freeman and Ben Cort.

It tells the tale of how cavemen invented underpants and of how the dinosaurs all became extinct. It really is quite a tale.

Archies loves to point out the little sabre-tooth cat on each page. He thinks he's funny.
The Natural History Museum seem to have got it all wrong. They could learn a thing or two from this book.

We have it as an audio book read by Rik Mayall and it's forever on loop in the car. The tune gets in your head after a while but Archie loves it.

Give it a try if you have a dinosaur mad toddler or just give it a try anyway.

Its dinotastic and all pants at the same time !!

"Grrrrrraaaaaaahhhh"

We all went to Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park in Devon while we were on holiday. What a cool place that was. They've got all sorts of animals and the pathways go through many of the enclosures so you get a real close-up encounter with the animals. They also have a dinosaur and fossil exhibition with life-size anima-tronic dinosaurs. Archie was still quite small at the time and was a bit scared but he loved the day out all the same.
